The Journey to Self + Motherland

ZIMBABWE

JOHANNESBURG

lesotho

Come home - to yourself, and to the Motherland.

This 11 nights (12 days) all inclusive full embodiment experience invites you into a journey of return.

We move beyond sightseeing into soul-seeing.
Let the land, the people, and its stories meet you where you are, and take you where you’re meant to go.

From the thundering rainbow mist of Musi-O-Tunya Falls in Zimbabwe
To the slow elegance and safari adventures through Hwange & Matobos National Parks whilst onboard of Africa’s most luxurious train…
Into the cultural beating heart of mama Johannesburg, South Africa
Through the highland majesty of Lesotho

Every step is guided by spirit, story, and ancestral memory
The Motherland is calling you home…will you answer?

Why Africa?

The Call of the Motherland

This is not just travel. It’s a return - to lineage, to light, to the places that hold your name in their wind.

Ancestral Healing in the Motherland
We move beyond sightseeing into generational soul-seeing.

Through guided ancestral practices, the healing touch of traditional therapeutic treatments, land-based rituals, and deep inner work, you’ll reconnect with the wisdom of your lineage and the resilience carried in your bloodline. It doesn’t matter whether your heritage is African or not, this is about meeting your lineage, wherever it begins, and honouring its journey home.

Culturally Rooted Experiences
From storytelling circles to indigenous ceremonies, from drum circles to local food and dance, sit in sacred circles, share intimate cultural exchanges with locals, and experience moments of deep rest and restoration. Every experience is rooted in immersing you in the living pulse of Mama Africa - not as an outsider looking in, but as kin coming home.

Embodiment Meets Exploration
Luxury and depth are woven together: safari adventures balanced with stillness, healing workshops alongside breathtaking landscapes, all designed to ground you in mind, body, spirit and ancestral beauty.

Spaces That Hold You
Each location, from Musi-o-Tunya Falls to Lesotho’s highlands, to the mountains and ocean of Cape Town is chosen not only for beauty, but for its ancestral presence. These lands hold stories that will meet you exactly where you are, and open pathways to where you’re meant to go.

This experience is a homecoming…to the truest version of you.

This experience is for you if…

✨ You’re craving a sacred pause. A space away from the daily noise, hustle and grind to reset, reflect, and return to yourself.

✨ You want to reconnect with your lineage, whether your roots are African or not - and honour whilst transforming the ancestral stories that live within you.

✨ You long for travel that feels purposeful, where every experience nourishes your spirit, not just your itinerary.

✨ You’re ready to be held by the high vibrational healing lands, to let Zimbabwe, Johannesburg and Lesotho meet you where you are, and carry you into who you’re always becoming.

✨ You desire community, to walk this journey with others who are seeking meaning, depth, and connection.

Awaiting You in the Motherland…

  • Sunrise Over Ancestry

Each day is an offering, always optional, to yourself: a gentle space to be held, to breathe, and to show up fully as you are.

▲Relaxing, indigenous therapeutic treatments, massages, energy alignment and bodywork designed to release tension, restore energy, and soothe the nervous system from generational impacts.

▲ Generational lineage healing practices rooted in ancestral wisdom. Learn from the land, the medicinal plants and its people, discovering how connection to self and soil becomes a life-long pathway back to your essence.

  • Pathways of Presence

This experience is a moving meditation through the heart of the Motherland.

▲ Glide across Zimbabwe’s plains and highlands onboard Africa’s most luxurious train - an experience where movement itself encourages inner stillness. Presence expands with safaris, optional hot-air balloon rides, journalling under starry skies, helicopter flights above the thundering Mosi-oa-Tunya Falls, and moments of stillness to simply feel the landscapes breathe through you.

Sightseeing transforms into soul-seeing. Walk Soweto’s streets infused with resilience, feel the cultural heartbeat of Johannesburg, and ascend into the mountain majesty of Lesotho, where the air itself carries ancestral memory. Taste the land through food rituals, vineyards and traditional ceremonies and healers, explore with guided excursions, and receive each place through the wisdom of its landkeepers.

  • Heart & Home Rituals

These are soul-nourishing ceremonies and rituals that hold you fully, inviting your generational essence to emerge and be witnessed.

▲ Guided ancestral healing, inner child reconnection, womb and heart activations - pathways that open your spirit to remembrance, liberation, and love.

Quiet moments to simply be. Journal, wander barefoot along beaches or mountain trails, sip ceremonial teas as the sun melts into the horizon. Every moment is your return to softness, to presence, to you.

Move, breathe, drum, and dance - relax with intention. Experience drumming circles, let your body be carried by ancestral rhythms, and feel the African instruments resonance echo through your being.

Dance in joy, sit in silence, meditate within the bush and the mountains, where the land itself rises as teacher. In these sacred spaces, the medicine of plants and smoke opens the heart, guiding you deeper into presence.

    • Traditional Boma dinner with dance, drumming, and ancestral storytelling.

    • Grounding welcome circle: arriving fully into the retreat.

  • Step aboard a luxury train, your moving sanctuary, as the wilderness unfolds outside your window. Hwange and Matobo’s landscapes hold elephants, big cats, ancient rock art, and sacred granite hills - timeless ground where nature and ancestry harmonise.

    • Safari game drive in Hwange National Park - where elephants roam in herds, lions prowl, and wild dogs paint the savannah with their untamed rhythm.

    • Excursion to Matobo Hills - wander through caves adorned with San rock paintings and sacred granite outcrops alive with ancestral energy.

    • Train-side sunrise yoga & mindfulness - awakening with the land as golden light spills across the horizon.

Optional: private 1:1 hypnotherapy, or life coaching with Patience throughout the day.

Day 5 - 10: Johannesburg

  • AWelcome to Johannesburg — Jozi, Egoli, the City of Gold.
A place where resilience meets reinvention, where ancestral memory and modern rhythm intertwine. Here, the skyline rises against a backdrop of stories — of struggle, triumph, and endless creativity.

In this leg of the journey, you’ll blend urban wellness with ancestral wisdom: rooftop sunrise yoga, healing workshops on inner child reconnection and decolonial spirituality, and sacred immersions that weave the city’s past into your own unfolding transformation.

There is also space for play and joy — indulging in soulful cuisine, exploring artisan markets, and letting the pulse of Africa’s most dynamic metropolis move through you.

    Experiences include:

    • Spa Days & Treatments - herbal massages, energy work, and body therapies to nourish, restore, and hold your spirit.

    • Soweto Walking Tour - Mandela House & Hector Pieterson Memorial, where freedom’s fire still burns.

    • Apartheid Museum - walking through history as part of your healing journey.

    • Ukutula Lion Walk & Elephant Sanctuary - meeting Africa’s great ones with reverence and awe.

    • Lesedi Cultural Village - ancestral song, dance, and initiation into living traditions.

    • Culinary Journeys - from township street food, vineyards to Pan-African fusion to fine dining, savoring the city’s soul on a plate.

Optional: private 1:1 hypnotherapy, reiki, or life coaching with Patience throughout the day.

  • We ease into this next chapter of your journey, leaving Johannesburg’s vibrant pulse behind and ascending into the highland stillness of Lesotho - the “Kingdom in the Sky,” where mountains cradle you and the air itself feels sacred.

Along the way, let the changing landscapes mirror your inner shift. From the city’s rhythm to the quiet majesty of mountain valleys, this travel day is a gentle invitation to unplug, unwind, and arrive more fully into yourself.

Once in Lesotho, you’ll have time to settle into the serene mountain sanctuary, soak in sweeping highland views, and let your body exhale, fully attuning to the rhythms of the land.

Day 10 - 13: Lesotho

  • Your journey ascends into Lesotho, where mountains cradle you in their vast silence. This is a space for integration, reflection, and deep reconnection with yourself and your lineage. The highlands invite you to move slowly, breathe fully, and be held by the wisdom of the land.

    • Basotho Ancestral Exchange
Intimate cultural immersion with local Basotho guides: visit traditional homes, participate in storytelling sessions, and learn ceremonial songs and dances. Guided ancestral healing rituals strengthen your lineage connection.

    • Mountain Medicine Walks
Nature therapy hikes incorporating plant medicine and traditional herbs. Learn how the land has been used for healing over generations, practice grounding exercises, and connect with the mountains, wind, and earth.

    • Evening Fireside Reflection
Sacred sunset circle around a fire, using drumming, mbira, or soft chants to honor the day, reflect on personal transformation, and receive energetic alignment. Optional journaling or silent witnessing invites integration of the day’s insights.

  • As the highlands of Lesotho fade behind you, your journey gently transitions back into the rhythm of the city. This travel day is not just a transfer — it’s a moving meditation, a sacred passage to reflect, integrate, and carry the wisdom of the mountains into your daily life.

    Experiences & Practices:

    Mountain Farewell
Take a final moment on the peaks to breathe deeply, feel the wind, and honor the lessons of the “Kingdom in the Sky.” A guided reflection invites you to anchor the highland energy within your heart and womb.

Evening Arrival & Grounding in Jozi
Settle back into Johannesburg, where the pulse of the city meets the calm of your inner self. Optional restorative yoga, meditation, or gentle evening ritual helps you reconnect with your body and breathe fully into the final chapters of our retreat.

  • You return home not just with memories, but with sacred practices, embodied softness, and a heart held fully by your own hands.

As you close this chapter of your Journey to Self & the Motherland, a part of you remains in the mountains, rivers, and streets you’ve walked…while a renewed, expanded self carries these ancestral gifts forward.
